Kristina Raleigh – LPC
As a parent myself, I understand completely how much we want our children to be healthy, happy, and successful. It is heartbreaking to watch our children struggle with emotions they cannot seem to find the words to express; seeing them try desperately to keep up with school work when they either don’t understand it, are incapable of focusing on it, or both; as well as feeling left out when they have not yet grasped social skills to help them feel like they belong. I understand that it is tiring to keep trying new strategies to help them with no success. Fortunately, you do not need to navigate this alone.
I received my Masters in Counseling Education and Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2015. Since graduating, I have been providing individual and family therapy to the Southwest Michigan community dealing with various issues and concerns. I have found over the years that art and play therapy techniques really help to facilitate discussions and teach strategies that are important, while also making self-growth fun.
I provide a comfortable and nonjudgmental environment to promote self-growth and healing. I creatively work with children, adolescents and teens to make counseling a fun, interactive, engaging, and rewarding experience. Confidentiality is extremely important, especially to adolescents and teens looking for someone to listen, which I respect whole heartedly. Everyone is unique; therefore, I offer specialized counseling to meet the needs of each individual.
By taking this first step in seeking counseling, your child will be on their way to self-growth and healing. I look forward to helping guide your child on their journey!
